Huquier is best known as a designer and engraver of ornamental prints, a genre in which he displayed much inventiveness and playfulness. Other well-known artists, such as Watteau, Boucher, Meissonier, and here Bouchardon, collaborated with him. His prints could serve as inspiration for craftsmen working in many other mediums.
